TMJ

Tempromandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome is pain in the jaw joint that is caused by a variety of problems. Problems in this area can cause headaches, head and neck pain, facial pain, a jaw that is locked in position or difficult to open, problems with chewing and biting, and jaw clicking or popping sounds when you bite. The tempromandibular joint syndrome is also referred to as the tempromandibular joint disorder. TMJ can be caused by things such as trauma, bruxism, clenching of the jaw, osteoarthritis, and other forms of arthritis. We don’t know for certain how many people suffer from TMJ, but it is estimated to be over 10 million Americans that are affected. This issue is more common in women than men.

Thankfully, you don’t have to suffer from TMJ pain. Chiropractors can help with an all-natural, drug-free approach by using methods to help alleviate tension and dysfunction in the spine. This helps alleviate pressure on a variety of nerves, which will then alleviate TMJ dysfunction.
