Neck Pain

Neck pain is one of the most common conditions we treat at Arkansas Biomechanics and Rehabilitation. Your neck, also called cervical spine, originates at the base of the skull and consists of seven vertebrae. Because the neck holds all of the weight of the head and is flexible, it is susceptible to injury and discomfort.

The most common causes of neck pain include:

            •          Injury (ie: Whiplash)

            •          Loss of Cervical Curve

            •          Aging

            •          Osteoarthritis

            •          Spinal stenosis (narrowing of the nerve passage in the vertebrae)

            •          Degenerative disc disease

            •          Poor posture

            •          Obesity

The good news is that proper chiropractic care and strength training can help improve many cases of neck pain. If you are looking for a natural way to manage neck pain without medication or side effects, chiropractic care may be for you. In addition to the neck adjustment, your doctor may also advise strengthening exercises, massage therapy, or at home exercises.
